The film is about 10 characters who are "someone/something like" (who are something like a nerd, something like a girlfriend, something like an action hero, something like a yakuza and so on), exploring themselves in the interaction with each others in the imaginary small town.It describes their uniqueness, loneliness, struggles, affection, and so on. A single mother, Saaya Ogawa, is something like a former idol and is crushing on someone like her new boyfriend, and her daughter Jewel, has been questioning the relationship with Saaya, as a parent and child. Yasuo Kida is something like a stalker who has a long-standing crush on Saaya, and his mother, Fujiko Kida, she is something like a fraud victim who grows mysterious flowers. Shunya Oka is something like an action actor who overlaps his existence with [Oka-hijiki], and Monami Katsuragi is something like his girl friend who repeatedly acts eerily when she loses contact with Shunya. Wakeno is something like a Yakuza whose hands shake when he tries to stab people, and Malena is something like a pet cat that is only crazy about [?anikama (imitation crab)] that Wakeno always gives her. Bunta is something like a katagi, who has washed his hands of yakuza and delivers mysterious flowers to the elderly. Bunta's deceased lover, Ageha is something like a swallowtail butterfly that has been watching over Bunta from the sky. This is a story inspired by the expression, "something like?" (Japanese news reporter often says that the crime was committed with "something like” a gun, even if it was obviously a real one.)
