Hezhwan Zendi
Hezhwan Zendi was born in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, Iraq. Growing up Hezhwan was always a film fanatic, after high school he went to study filmmaking at the University of Sulaymaniyah, he graduated majoring in writing and directing, in his years in college he has written and directed more than five short films, and participated in more than fifteen short films working in different positions. In Duhok international film festival he won two international awards in a project that was created by Goethe institute, then made the successful short film (Paths) which he worked at as a writer and a cinematographer and won an international award for cinematography. After that he made his first feature film (1988) working as a writer and a director, which was a successful high budget film working with the famous Iranian cinematographer Hooman Behmanesh.
