At just 21 years old, Franklin Dubiez stands out as a promising French director and screenwriter, backed by numerous experiences in fiction and training at 3iS Education in Lyon. Writing the scripts for his own films, he brings a thoughtful approach to directing, using visual composition to enrich his narratives, providing his characters with settings that speak as much as their dialogues. His exploration of the science fiction genre, through short films such as "Guardians" (winner of the You Judge It award at the Fresh International Film Festival) and "Meteor" (winner of the technical award at the Rushes Hours challenge organized by Indie), has demonstrated his potential and ability to confidently handle technical concepts. Today, Franklin is tackling the challenge of historical film with his latest 29-minute short film "Maintenant, j'ai peur", his end-of-studies project. Surrounded by a team of trusted collaborators, including his producer, director of photography, and VFX supervisor, he represents a new voice in cinema, seeking to grow and make his unique contribution to the industry.
