Qingxuan Wang is an aspiring director from China. She graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film & Television Production in 2024. She completed her first film in 2024, Until He's Born, a drama short about the one-child policy, incorporating her reflections on a generation of collective memories and shared grief. This short film was selected for Chicago International Film Festival - CineYouth?2025?. All of her inspiration comes from life and interpersonal connections around her. She tends to focus on social events and contemporary social issues with an ironic tone and fresh perspective by merging her Asian cultural background. Inspired by her practical experience as a camera crew, her work carries the natural intuition for cinematography and minimalist aesthetics of shots.
