Synopsis : Between Winter and Spring Healer Lee Yeon, lost and weary of life, travels to Gombyeong Ridge, a snow-covered village in Korea’s Gangwon Province known as Seolpi Village, to end her journey through “Cheonhwa,” one of the sacred death rites practiced by ancient monks. In this remote, frozen landscape, she encounters a middle-aged woman who lives in quiet harmony with nature. Drawn into the woman’s world, Lee Yeon helps chop firewood, prepare fish for winter, and learns the rhythms of survival in the snow-covered mountains. As their bond deepens, the woman shares profound truths about the cycles of nature—birth, death, and rebirth. Through these lessons, Lee Yeon begins to confront her own emptiness and sees life from a new perspective. And there, in the stillness between winter’s biting cold and spring’s hesitant warmth, Lee Yeon feels the shift—a quiet pulse, a breath. In the frozen moments of her life, she is reborn through the warmth of a single breath.
